Chris Wirth built Insika from inside real tax credit deals. As Chief Technology Officer of Dakota Partners, a national affordable housing developer, he ran the systems that carried projects from site search to closing — project management, a data warehouse, deal reporting, and the GIS data the team used to find new sites — while the company quadrupled its staff.
On every deal he saw the same two problems. The rules that decide whether an application wins were scattered across agency plans, program manuals, spreadsheets and people's memories. And the status of the work lived in trackers and inboxes, so leadership was always looking at last week. Atlas answers the first: one state's entire pathway, in order, with the source attached. The OS answers the second: the plan and the status, kept true by the people doing the work.
Behind both are more than twenty years of turning scattered information into systems teams trust — data engineering and analytics in real estate development, hospitality and education, and co-founding the analytics company VizED.
“Every deal I worked on had the answers somewhere. Atlas puts them in one place, in order, with the source attached.”

Insika means support, a pillar. The company is small by design: the editions are built by a factory of people and models checking each other's work against the state's own documents, and nothing ships that has not been read.
